ERP Survey 2024

Over Two Thirds of Irish SMEs Failing to use Live Quality Stats

Profitsflow completed a recent survey on the Irish SME manufacturing and field service market which revealed some key findings.

The survey revealed that while over 70% of respondents used live data dashboards providing key performance indicators (KPIs) for their Finance departments, only 28.5% did so for their Quality department.  The KPI dashboards gather live data from the underlying software of the business, indicating that many have non-automated, often paper or spreadsheet based, QA systems under-pinning the pivotal function which is seen by many as the key to winning over and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Other findings have shown that, of those companies who have yet to implement an ERP solution, five out of every six respondents rated “Investing in Technology and Innovation” as a key driver to staying competitive within their market, indicating that the trend of increasing adoption of ERP within Ireland’s SME sector is set to continue into 2025 and beyond.

Commenting on the survey results, CEO of Profitsflow Tadhg Henderson noted that almost 86% of participants expect “personalised support and flexibility”, or a  “scalable and configurable solution” from an ideal enterprise software provider.  “There is a disconnect here between customer expectations and the widespread adoption of large, cloud-based and clunky systems provided by global multinationals.  It is impossible to expect a personal service and uniquely tailored solution from such organisations.”

The survey was conducted over a two week period from 22nd November 2024 to 5th December 2024.  For anyone that would like to examine the full survey report you can contact the team on 01-244-9580 or email marketing@profitsflow.com
