In October 2016, Exel Computer Systems released EFACS 8.6 at the annual EFACS User Group meeting in Northamptonshire. Irish EFACS users had previously seen a preview at our own customer event in Dublin in September. Although quietly launched, 8.6 is revolutionary. It is fast, responsive,
user-configurable and brings data to life. It is fully browser-based. Is there another ERP system that can be seamlessly moved from an on-premises server to the cloud quickly (even overnight) and without any discernible difference to end users? If there is, we don’t know about it.
Designed specifically for manufacturing and field service companies, EFACS 8.6 extends the office-based workforce to empower mobile workers with the tools they need to do their job effectively and more efficiently, while relaying data to the office to enable real time decision making and eliminate duplication and paperwork. This is achieved through the EFACS mobile suite of mobile apps and the Eagle Field Service mobile device software. The solution draws on over thirty years of industry experience and knowledge since Exel first started developing manufacturing software solutions in 1985. In that time many hundreds of businesses and tens of thousands of users across Ireland, the UK and beyond have benefited from a truly integrated ERP system on the EFACS platform.
Now available as a Microsoft solution using Windows and SQL Server, or on a Linux/Oracle platform, whether it be a single site manufacturing facility in a remote location with poor internet connectivity, or a complex multi-site, interconnected group of companies operating across multiple countries and continents, or indeed anything in between, EFACS 8.6 is the logical solution.
